Design Principles II

For the final assignment for Design Principles II students initially worked in small teams on topics of their choice: urban farming, playgrounds, food delivery, and post-covid concerts. They conducted interviews with users, e.g., people using urban farms in providence, a GrubHub delivery driver, or a concert promoter and used other research methods such as observation and surveys.

Students then, individually, created a booklet documenting their research, insights, and design opportunities and then designed and fabricated a product in response ranging from new packaging for Dim Sum to an interactive soft robotic blanket to enhance an at-home concert.
